32.1%! Auckland port box volume surges

Container volumes at the U.S. port of Oakland surged in February, surpassing the record for the same period last year, according to Container News.

Container imports at the Port of Oakland are understood to have increased significantly for the fourth consecutive month, rising 32.1% to 76.734 TEUs from 58.073 TEUs in 2023.door to door shpping

According to a statement from the Port of Oakland, this growth was driven by strong consumer spending in Northern California.door to door shpping

In February 2024, exports were up 24.2% to 69.242 TEUs, while in February 2023, container exports were up 55,279 TEUs.sea shipping agent  door to door shpping

Overall, the combined full TEU volume for the first two months of 2024 increased by 18.1% compared to the same period in 2023.door to door shpping
