 Cathy, our air freight shipment from China to Europe was mistakenly sent to another European company. Cathy couldn't believe the news when she heard it. After years of experience in China to Europe air freight, this is the first time I've encountered such a oversight in our meticulous logistics process. I remember in the early years, we would occasionally have misdelivered packages when dealing with domestic couriers, but even then, we had measures in place to handle it. 


Euro Trade, a long-standing partner of Sunny Worldwide Logistics, has been working with us for 10 years. Their monthly air freight shipments from China to Europe are steady at about 20 batches. We've established comprehensive tracking records for each batch of their China to Europe air freight, ensuring every step from air freight to warehousing is under control. Upon learning this news, Cathy from the Sunny Worldwide Logistics business department quickly got in touch with our European air freight agent, Erik. He explained that the error occurred because part of the barcode on the cargo label was contaminated, leading to a misread during scanning, and our goods were mistakenly sent to a neighboring company whose barcode only differed slightly at the end.

We also reminded the client that once the goods are retrieved and re-shipped, we would immediately provide full tracking information and requested that they inspect the goods upon receipt to ensure they are intact from China to Europe. Erik, our European air freight agent, was able to track the exact location of the goods through the logistics system and promptly communicated with the other company. Upon learning of the situation, they immediately arranged for the return of the goods and promised to expedite the process.


During this time, we maintained close communication with our European client for the China to Europe route, our European air freight agent, the company that mistakenly received the goods, and the Sunny Worldwide Logistics team. Every day, we coordinated multiple times with all four parties to ensure every step from China to Europe was carried out accurately and to expedite the return of the goods to Euro Trade. Fortunately, the other company acted swiftly upon discovering the error, and the goods were returned intact without being unpacked. Our European air freight agent for the China to Europe route arranged for the re-shipping immediately and ensured the goods reached Euro Trade's warehouse in a short time. Upon receipt, Euro Trade conducted an inventory and confirmed that all goods from China to Europe were in perfect condition.


This incident, although it presented significant challenges, also underscored the importance of teamwork. Faced with the problem, Sunny Worldwide Logistics did not choose to evade or shift responsibility but instead confronted the issue head-on and acted swiftly.
