From January to September, the national railway shipped 2.897 billion tons of cargo

The reporter learned from China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. that from January to September this year, the state railways shipped a total of 2.897 billion tons of cargo, and cargo transportation maintained a high level.

Freight capacity continues to expand. From January to September, the national railways loaded an average of 176,600 cars per day, the country's major ports and railways loaded an average of 31,500 cars per day, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%, and the average daily loading of ore was 28,100 cars, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%.

Improve the quality and efficiency of international transport. The China-Europe freight train portal is online, further improving the quality and efficiency of China-Europe freight train services. From January to September, China-Europe freight trains operated a total of 13,000 trains and sent 1.42 million TEUs of goods, a year-on-year increase of 7% and 20%.

Freight products are optimized and improved. Vigorously develop containerized transportation, multimodal transport and fast logistics, and enhance comprehensive transportation service capabilities. From January to September, the national railway container dispatched 24.29 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, and the rail-water combined transport completed 9.45 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%.
