The Ports of Halifax, Montreal and Quebec have all been hit by cyberattacks of varying degrees this week. Lane Farguson, spokesperson for the Halifax Port Authority, said: "The abnormal problem of the website was noticed last Wednesday morning. This cyber attack caused the port website to go offline. Fortunately, it has not affected internal data or operations. Currently, port activities are still in progress. continuing."

The Port of Montreal website also went offline at 7 a.m. Wednesday. A spokesman for the port said: "Port operations have not been affected, there is no risk of any data leakage, the port is not in a state of crisis, and the port can currently be contacted by phone or other means."


Quebec Port Authority said: "Its IT team is still investigating whether this is a cyber attack."
