At present, the shipping companies Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk, CMA CGM, and MSC have successively announced an increase in the comprehensive rate, with a surcharge increase (GRI) ranging from 540 to 1,250 US dollars.
Hapag-Lloyd announced that starting from May 1, the comprehensive rate will be increased for the goods transported from East Asia to the United States and Canada in 20" and 40" (including dry containers, reefer containers and special containers), and the increased surcharges will be US0 respectively ,1,000.
Maersk issued a notice to customers: From April 24, the comprehensive rate of all types of containers from Asia Pacific to the United States and Canada will be raised, and the surcharge will increase by 900-1250 US dollars.
The specific charging standards are adjusted as follows:

Add 00 for all 40" dry boxes;

Add 50 for all 45" high cabinet dry boxes.
In addition, Maersk is revising and increasing the terminal handling service-destination (DHC) document handling fee for imported containers from the world to North America, which will take effect on May 1, 2023.
On the same day, CMA CGM also issued a notice to customers: from April 15th, the comprehensive rate of all containers entering the port from Asia Pacific to the United States and Canada will be raised, and the surcharge will increase by 540-1013 US dollars.
