NO.1 Macau prohibits the import of non degradable plastic food cups and plates from next year
According to the website of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government on September 4th, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government has introduced plastic reduction measures in sequence. Following the introduction of control measures for disposable foam tableware, non degradable disposable plastic catering straws, beverage mixing rods, knives, forks, and spoons, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 1 (5) of Law No. 7/2003, as amended by Law No. 3/2016, has issued the Chief Executive's Order No. 146/2023, The import of non degradable disposable plastic food dishes, cups, and disposable foam food trays is prohibited. The relevant Chief Executive's instructions will take effect from January 1, 2024.
NO.2 Canada's New Declaration Regulations for 850 Chemicals
According to Regulation 71 (1) (b) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), the Minister of the Environment of the country requires that in certain circumstances, the production, import, or use of 850 chemicals listed in the Canadian Environmental Protection Act or mixtures, products, or items containing these chemicals must be declared before January 17, 2024.
The declared objects include: within the calendar year 2022, the production, import, or use of substances listed in Annex 1, or mixtures, products, and articles containing ≥ 0.1% of substances, with a tonnage exceeding 100kg or 1000kg.
NO.3 US Commodity Trade Deficit Expands in July
Preliminary data released by the US Department of Commerce shows that the US merchandise trade deficit expanded by 2.6% in July to $91.2 billion. In July, commodity exports increased by $2.4 billion to $164.8 billion. Imports increased by $4.7 billion to $256 billion.
The report also shows that wholesale inventory decreased by 0.1%. The initial retail inventory increased by 0.3%. Except for automobiles, retail inventory increased by 0.1%.

Amazon Japan announced that new regulations have been made for the delivery date and time specifications of FBA multi-channel services. If sellers use FBA multi-channel services with specified delivery dates and times, the total size of the product must be 151 centimeters or less, and the weight must be 30 kilograms or less.
Old rule: If the total of the three sides of the product packaging for FBA multi-channel services exceeds 160 centimeters or the weight exceeds 25 kilograms, reservation delivery services cannot be used.
New regulations: If you use FBA multi-channel services with specified delivery dates and times, the total size of the product must be 151 centimeters or less and the weight must be 30 kilograms or less.
